Daily Rythym

Daily Rythym

9:00 | Gentle Drop-Off
Children are welcomed into a warm, inviting space.

9:00 – 9:15 | Bread Dough Kneading
(sometimes this is substituted with
play-doh creations)
Each child kneads their own dough for the bread they’ll enjoy later with lunch — a grounding and sensory-rich way to begin the day.

This simple daily ritual also builds strength in their hands and fingers, supporting the development of strong fine motor skills needed for writing, cutting, and other tasks.

9:15 – 9:30 | Calendar Time & Daily Focus
We come together to mark the day, discuss the weather, and gently introduce the topic or focus of the day.

9:30 – 10:30 | Independent Exploration
Children freely choose from open-ended activities such as:

  • Art and sensory projects

  • Books

  • Imaginative solo play

  • A variety of rotating “jobs” (fine motor, practical life, puzzles, etc.)

10:30 – 10:45 | Clean-Up, Story Time, & Handwashing
We transition together with a story and prepare for lunch.

10:45/11:00 – 11:30 | Lunch
Children gather to enjoy their lunches — including the fresh bread they made that morning.

11:30 – 12:30 | Afternoon Creativity & Connection
Children may:

  • Continue their artwork or notebook work

  • Engage in small group activities or partner play

  • Join in teacher-guided games or projects

12:30 – 12:45 | Yoga, Movement, or Meditation
A grounding close to the day through breath, movement, and mindfulness.

12:45 – 1:00 | Share & Tell + Pick-Up
Children gather to reflect on their day and have an option to participate in
Share & Tell.

Each week has a different theme, and children are invited to bring an item from home to share with the group. It’s a fun and meaningful way to build confidence and connection before heading home.
